An important part of our activities is to raise public awareness of heritage issues and the significance of their developmental implication

Cultural heritage questions have a high status in a multi-cultural society where the right to one’s own culture and identity is necessary to create a sense of trust and security and thereby conditions for democracy and peace.

There is a clear relation between the fight against poverty and heritage issues and this is why our work plays an important role in the Swedish policy for global development. Cultural Heritage without Borders wants to prove that the work with cultural heritage is not merely decorative but an absolutely relevant area if concrete results are to be achieved. We try to influence public opinion by participating in and arranging various seminars and meetings and by issuing press releases, newsletters and reports in different subjects.
